Carisha Swanson

Carisha Swanson is a seasoned design and editorial professional based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She serves as Director of Editorial Special Projects at House Beautiful, a Hearst brand, where she oversees brand partnerships, consumer-facing programming, and 360-degree editorial content across platforms.

After earning a BA with Honors in American Studies from Williams College and studying design in London, she began her career in book publishing at W.W. Norton & Co. and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt before moving into retail management and magazine publishing. She later joined Moffly Media in Fairfield County, Connecticut, where she served as Market Editor for six publications and led special projects including the Luxury Gift Portfolio and Beauty Book.

Since joining Hearst in 2013, she has played an integral role in shaping editorial strategy and developing innovative, cross-platform storytelling. With particular expertise in the kitchen and bath space, she creates compelling content, builds strategic partnerships, and drives meaningful conversations within the design industry both nationally and internationally.

An experienced moderator and on-air talent, she has emceed numerous industry events and appeared on behalf of global brands, further establishing her as a trusted voice in design.
